The Bangor Vikings soccer boys played their last game of the regular season against the Bloomingdale Cardinals. Unfortunately our four game winning streak ended last night. After a hard fought game in the first half the Vikings fell behind against the Cardinals with a 2-0 score. During the beginning of second half, we had a couple chances of getting on the score board, but we just couldn’t find the back of the net. To make matters worse we ended up with 4 key players injured. We decided to keep them out for the rest of the game and not making the injuries worse, with districts a few days away we feel we needed to bite the bullet and take a 5-0 loss. The boys had been playing great and hard games. Even though we did not finish our season with a win, I feel that we will have a good performance during districts. We will host Bridgman @ 5:00pm for our first district game. We ask for everyone to come out and support your Vikings.
Record stands 9 – 4.
